As part of NATO, 300 French soldiers have been deployed for the Lynx mission since March in the Baltic States. The detachment ensures a deterrent presence in the area. It is also an opportunity for the soldiers to train with other countries in the alliance.

 

These images highlight joint Franco-Estonian maneuvers in the wooded and marshy areas of Adazi in Latvia as part of Exercise Steel Shield.
